Member ProfileGrowing up on a North Carolina farm in Robeson County, William Barker moved to Raleigh in 1973 to attend N.C. State University. He began his career in real estate sales in 1979, and founded Barker Realty in 1984 as an investment and property management real estate company. William Barker began selling real estate in the Raleigh area in 1979 with Bacon and Company. In 1989, William began building custom homes under William T. Barker Construction. He later formed Barker and Lovette Construction Company, specializing in commercial building renovations and fit-ups. With the ever growing and changing construction market William decided to form the Barker Construction Group to better meet the needs of our residential and commercial clients.

During his vast experience, William has also been involved as managing partner in several companies specializing in land development. He has served on the NC Building Code Committee, is a member of the Wake County Home Builders Association, the National HBA, and the Raleigh Board of Realtors.

Will Barker brings life to the designs and plans of your project by managing the details. Born and raised in the real estate development world, this Raleigh native brings knowledge that can only come through experience. He is experienced in managing projects in both the commercial and residential world, land development, custom home renovations and new construction. Will is married and the proud father of Abby and an energetic lab named Wyatt. He sits on the Wake County Board of Adjustments and actively participates in both church and para-church ministries throughout the community.

Lauren Abbott joined the construction companies in 2013 and works as the Executive Assistant for W. T. Barker Construction and Barker & Lovette General Contractors. Lauren holds an Accounting 1 Degree from Hardbargers Business College. Her previous work experience includes positions in the banking industry in Mortgage Collections, Account Reconciliations, and Supervisor of Business Services Department at NCNB. Lauren is originally from Raleigh and has been married for 31 years to her hero, Jim. They have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys playing with her grandchildren, going to music festivals/concerts with her husband, trying out new restaurants, and drinking coffee. Life is Good!
